For quite awhile now I've wanted to run a weekly link-up focused on photography but wanted to make it somewhat unique from the other great photography link-ups that are running to, my favourites being My Sunday Photo by OneDad3Girls and Living Arrows by I Heart Snapping (which sadly doesn't seem to be running anymore but I took part in it for a year last year). This is where the idea for The Wonderland Link-Up came from. I often take pictures that people say look like they're from some kind of fairyland or other world, so as a huge Alice in Wonderland fan I thought - "why can't there be wonderlands here on Earth?"
The point of The Wonderland Link-Up is to share any pictures you took during the week which made you stop and think "wow!". They could be photos of places and moments that were super magical to you and which seemed like they could be from another, perfect or weird and wonderful world. So please do share the magic in your photography or the world around you with us all.
The Wonderland Link-Up will take place every Sunday and shall run until Wednesday for entries. I shall be commenting on the entries myself over the coming days and look forward to seeing some beautiful images that inspired you and made you feel a bit awe-struck for awhile after you captured them.
This is my picture for the first week of this link-up. I absolutely love everything about this picture - the pale pink, delicate roses, the clear, bright blue sky and the hint of clouds, I just think it's so pretty and I was delighted to capture this shot. The sun had been glaring as I took it so I couldn't see the camera screen to check the shot after I took it but when I uploaded it to the laptop I really did think "wow, that's beautiful!", plus, I can never resist pink roses.
Thank you for taking part and have a lovely week, hopefully full of magic, joy and wonder...
I'm rubbish at taking photos! I'm always inspired by some amazing blogger photography. Good luck with the linky.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Joanne! :)
DeleteIt's not everyday that one would chance upon pale pink roses ( and not the annoying kind of pink ) - they're lovely. Great capture, dear. I look forward to your future snapshots.
ReplyDeleteThank you Russ. The annoying kind of pink, haha! I have to admit I love all types of pink but especially this pale kind, it's so pretty I think :)
DeleteBeautiful shot. It needs printing on a canvas!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Jenna! If you saw the amount of canvases in my house you'd know it'd be a sin to have another! Haha :)

That is such a beautiful photo! I wish I could take amazing pictures... One day!
ReplyDeleteThis linkup sounds real fun. I don't take near as many pictures as I should. I want to become a really good photographer and that takes practice. Perhaps I should try some more and then participate in your linkup.
ReplyDeleteThat is so pretty. I love the colour too. Good luck with the linky, sounds fun. xx

ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome idea for a linkup. I'll be back even if it's just to admire everyone's photography.
ReplyDeleteThat photo is positively dreamy! You're so lucky to have captured that exact shot. It's the perfect one to have started with.
ReplyDeleteThat is a gorgeous photo! I've been trying to work on my photography and tell a story with it instead of it just being a picture. Your definately does that!
